The Virgins est un groupe de rock américain, originaire de New-York. Ce groupe, formé en 2005, est constitué de cinq membres : Erik Ratensperger, Donald Cumming, Wade Oates, Nick Zarin-Ackerman et Paul Vassallo. Leur single Rich Girls a été classé 68e, par le magazine américain Rolling Stone, dans la liste des cent meilleures chansons de 2008.
Donald Cumming a commencé à écrire de la musique dans son appartement new-yorkais. Cherchant un groupe, il a embauché des amis, Wade Oates (guitare) et Nick Ackerman.
